Hunters on a White Field

Three men go on an extended weekend hunting trip in the Swedish forest in this mysterious, suspenseful drama, starring Ardalan Esmaili (GREYZONE), Magnus Krepper (THE BRIDGE, MARGARETE - QUEEN OF THE NORTH) and Jens Hultén (SKYFALL, BÄCKSTRÖM). Alex, a young professional, sets out on a hunting trip with his boss Greger on the remote wooded property of Greger’s friend, Henrik. For Alex the trip is a chance to boost his career. A hunting novice, Alex learns how to hunt from his experienced partners and an initial spell of hunting success sharpens their instincts and stirs a sense of rivalry. But one day all the animals vanish without a trace and the forest turns eerily quiet. Yet the men become obsessed with the idea that the hunt must continue. Directed by Sarah Gyllenstierna in her feature film debut and based on a novel by Mats Wägeus, HUNTERS ON A WHITE FIELD explores group dynamics, the bond between hunter and prey in a tale about human folly and the animal within us all.
