Synopsis

Risto (Pekka Strang, TOM OF FINLAND, BÄCKSTRÖM) and Arto have found themselves in a situation where everything has gone wrong, and they desperately need a fresh start. Risto is addicted to gambling and his marriage is in crisis. Arto recently discovered that he was born with 85% less brain than the average person, and as a result has been abandoned by everyone. Broken and ridiculed, their situation is not entirely hopeless as the two men band together to become the cheapest drivers in the hearse business. When they try to find a solution to their problems, in their quest to win back what they have lost, they will risk everything and put their own lives on the line. Skillfully combining comedy and drama, DEATH IS A PROBLEM FOR THE LIVING is a captivating tale of an unlikely friendship. Written and directed by Teemu Nikki (THE BLIND MAN WHO DID NOT WANT TO SEE TITANIC)) this black comedy helps to see the light in some of the darker corners of life.
